Safe & Family-Friendly Design
Our top-bent garden edging is crafted with a smooth folded edge that eliminates sharp corners, preventing injuries during gardening. Perfect for family yards, community gardens, and any space where safety matters for kids and pets.
Helped create a great barrier to separate new sod from fences and garden beds. Keeps weeds out.
Very sturdy material. Spikes set sturdy in lawn.
Sturdy and easy to join and install. I installed this in two flower beds. I ordered the 8-inch high since one of the beds slopes downward and after rains the mulch ends up on the sidewalk. (Looking back I should have ordered the 6-inch.) Using scrap 2x6 lumber, it was easy to bend. Each 40-inch piece has a connector plate with 4 bolts. There are no instructions in the package and it took a while to decide to attach the connector plates behind the edging. (Really, you could do it in front but I think it looks nicer behind as it's hidden by the mulch. I do wish they would make a right-angle corner connector as one side the the bed was 40-inches long. I ended up making a right-angle bend about 2 inches from the end. That was hard as there was so little metal to work with. (A pair of long-handled pliers and a 2x6 helped.) For the first flower bed, I joined the next piece and then pounded the first piece into the ground. That worked reasonably well since the first bed was mainly straight, but for the second bed there were curves and I decided to try to assemble all of the pieces and then pound the whole thing into the ground. I think this worked better. I ended up pounding about 4 inches of edging into the ground so if I had to do it again I'd go with the 6-inch.
I purchased the "8-inch 90-Degree Bend" model for my front yard, and I couldn't be happier with it. The material is extremely sturdy, and it looks sleek and clean once installed. At the corner section, you'll need to make a small cut to ensure it fits perfectly. After searching extensively on Amazon, this was the only product that met my needs, and it exceeded my expectations!
I added mulch to the front yard and realized with our sloping street the mulch would wash downhill during the rainy season. I found this attractive edging and Tom and I installed it without any difficulty. He was able to cut it to size with a hacksaw. We were able to make the bend with a piece of lumber as a mold. Very pleased with the appearance and ease of installation.
