This edging is made of very firm very heavy steel. It pounds into the ground with a hammer. I used a mallet and it stays put. It's great for us next to the pavers to keep the mulch away from the driveway. Easy to install and you just pound one piece next to another to create a line. Long lasting for sure
I used these as a weed barrier along the edge of my vegetable garden and they are great. They go into the ground fairly easily, and I have thick clay so it slipped in the ground more easily than I expected. I like the fact that although they are sturdy, I can shape them to go around the contours of my fencing, and this will also keep the critters from trying to squeeze through the gaps in my panel fencing. I am extremely happy with these edgers and would order again.
These fit together easily, are good and rigid, but still allow about a 90?? bend within the length of one piece. They're attractive and the coating is consistent and looks durable.I used these to try and contain a bed of mint (don't EVER plant mint in a bed, it takes over ferociously), the mint is probably a lost cause, but these boarders are great. My son and I fit them together easily and then set them into place. Then took a trenching shovel and went along the boarder and made a grove a few inches deep and then tapped the boarder down into place. That may not work on all dirt types, mine is pretty soft, but the boards are good and rigid.I have nothing bad to say.
I hate the landscape edging that needs to be buried. I don't want to dig trench to get the edging in the ground. With this all you need to do is pound the little stakes, on the bottom, into the ground. I really like the way each section connects to the next because it makes a more solid border. I've had others where you only put the edges close together and then put a decorative piece over both to hide where it meets. These look so much more solid and like they are one piece instead of several pieces linked together. They can be bent but only slightly as in a gentle rounding or a large circle, unless you're a lot stronger than I am. A gentle curve is all I need and these work very well.
These edges are super simple to use because they have built-in steaks and they're flexible enough to bend around corners of your yard. They are much more stylish in the traditional, thick wood type or a nice clean looking edge with just a thin metal. They almost disappear to the landscaping and art a noticeable border, but keep the law in place where it belongs instead of growing out into the rest of your landscaping. Could be used for any area of landscaping that you want to keep separated. Rubber mallet and took about 30 minutes to put in all of them.. Seems like quality material and coded well so it won't rust and should last for years to come. Great value.
